General Election - COVID - Announcement

To the Residents of the Town of Pownal,

During this crisis due to COVID 19, I need to keep me and my poll workers safe. We will be following the recommendation of the CDC with mask, providing hand sanitizer at the entrance and exit and social distance and only (6) six people will be allowed inside to vote at a time. My polling hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Second, I want to say I work extremely hard to keep our elections safe. I put in many uncounted hours to keep the voter checklist up to date.

General Election November 3rd 2020 ballots have been mailed out by the State of Vermont to every active voter. These are not fraudulently ballots. (So please stop burning them and throwing them away) I was only given 30% of the ballots of my checklist. These were only for challenged or new voters.

Yes, You may vote in person However, you must bring back your complete ballot with envelope. Sign the affidavit. Visit VTDigger.org it tells you what to do for this election.

If you don't feel safe to mail your ballot, it can be dropped off at my office (Town Clerk's) 467 Center Street Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

I will also be in the office on the following days:

Fri.: Oct. 9th (9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Sun.: Oct. 11th (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
