Indian Massacre Road Cleanup Project
A joint cleanup effort was held on November 4th of Indian Massacre Road in Pownal. Thanks to many wonderful and hardworking community volunteers it was a great success!
The Town of Pownal would like to thank all of the volunteers that showed up that totaled 35 people. The amount of work that was completed was amazing! They collected and cleaned up 4900 pounds of illegally dumped trash that was dumped over the bank. What an achievement!
A special thank you to; Brooke Remington, advisor to MAUHS Red Cross Club, the James sisters, Kamryn and Leah, and Luca and Emelia Barsotti and
Jim Gilbert, Dave Low and Rose-Marie Pelletier who hauled 45 tires and 4 TVs to the transfer station.
Best of all, everyone had a great time cleaning up our community!
