Who's Who
Pownal Treasurer
Delinquent Tax Collector

Ellen Strohmaier

town of pownal

I was born and raised in Pownal. I enjoy my time spent with my family. I have three children and six grandchildren. Oh let’s not forget the granddaughter due in June!!!!!!!!!

I love my jobs with the Town of Pownal. The towns people are wonderful. There is nothing like small towns where you get a chance to know so many of the citizens there. My job with the Career Development Center is also very rewarding. I take my jobs very seriously and hope to keep improving my skills to help the people I work for.

I took up running two years ago. The training group I joined is full of empowering people who have helped me become a stronger person. I just completed my second half marathon this month and hope to continue improving myself as a runner and a person.

Field Day!
April 21, 2018, 9:00AM on

Join the parents to help get the baseball field ready for the Pownal Youth Baseball season. You can choose from two locations – some will be at 346 and some will be at the school. Bring a shovel rock rake!

They need people to help hang signs, put up the outfield fence and batting cage net. They also need help installing bull pens for pitchers to warm up as well as stick concession and hanging new pricing signs. For more information, please contact Crystal Gardner at 802-379-5414.

All of the sponsors, sign sponsors, and donors will be announced! Come join in the National Anthem and enjoy a day filled with baseball: T ball, coach pitch, rookies, minors, and majors. Help in the concession is always welcome and umpires do get paid so sign up if you would be interested in umpiring games at the 346 field!

Everyone loves a wedding!

Congratulations to Nathan and Elizabeth Rowe who got married on Saturday, April 14. The happy couple got married in Kinston, NC in a small intimate celebration with just immediate family surrounding them. They are so happy as you can see in their photos and as cold and muddy as it is, they are delighted to be back in Pownal and spend the rest of their lives together here!
